What is a Laddomat?

A Laddomat regulates the return temperature to your wood or pellet boiler. By connecting a Laddomat to your system, you increase the boiler’s lifespan. It preheats the return water so that the return temperature never drops below a certain level, which drastically reduces corrosion in the lower part of the boiler.

When the boiler starts, the water circulates internally, allowing the boiler to quickly reach its operating temperature and begin heating the tank. Afterward, the Laddomat pumps hot water into the top of the accumulator tank slowly and controlled, ensuring optimal stratification.

With a Laddomat, you don’t need to fire as often as when the boiler is directly connected to the heating system. You utilize the energy contained in the fuel much better and create the best conditions for environmentally friendly combustion.

How Does Laddomat 21 Work?

Laddomat 21-60 is a complete unit that provides easy and safe connection and perfect charging to your boiler’s tank. Thanks to an efficient hot water regulation, it can have a higher opening temperature at high boiler outputs compared to other similar products.

With Laddomat 21, your boiler smoothly reaches the correct operating temperature. The tank is charged with a low flow and with a high and even temperature, making the temperature stratification in the tank optimal. During the final phase of combustion, the tank receives a perfect charge. This is thanks to the thermal valve that completely closes the bypass port. After combustion, it utilizes the residual heat in the boiler and the embers by transferring the hot water from the top of the boiler to the tank through its built-in self-circulation. This works even during a power outage.

How Does Laddomat 11 Work?

This is a complete unit that provides easy and safe connection as well as perfect charging of the tank. It has an efficient hot water regulation that contributes to a higher opening temperature at high boiler outputs compared to other similar products.

Laddomat 11-30 raises the temperature at the bottom of the boiler, preventing corrosion and tar formation, which in turn extends the boiler’s lifespan. It charges the tank with a low flow, making the stratification in the accumulator tank optimal. This is important for a convenient and functional heating system. It also provides a perfect charge of the tank during the final phase of combustion, thanks to the thermal valve that restricts the bypass port.

How Should a Laddomat Be Connected?

How you should connect your Laddomat depends somewhat on the specific model.

Laddomat 21

Place it close to the boiler, level with the boiler’s bottom outlet. The piping should be as short as possible and with as few bends as possible. Be careful to eliminate all air pockets.

The pipe from the boiler top to the T-pipe down to the Laddomat 21 should be as large as possible. This contributes to a low water speed and allows the air released in the boiler to be separated out to the expansion vessel or air vent.

The placement of the filling has two different purposes. First, when filling the system, you want to fill both the boiler and the tank through the bottom connections to easily remove all air. Another purpose is to stop boiling by adding cold water. Connect with a union fitting between the filling valve and the outlet to simplify any service.

Laddomat 11

This can be connected in any position, but it should always be installed low to avoid overheating the valve. The piping should be as short as possible and with as few bends as possible. Make sure all air pockets are eliminated. Install shut-off valves to avoid draining the system during service.
