Forced Air Furnaces

With our forced air furnace for pellets, you get an easy-to-maintain heating system with high efficiency. The furnace takes up very little space in your home or facility. The burner ensures that the furnace operates efficiently with a quick start-up, and it features automatic ash removal via compressed air cleaning. This concept maintains a comfortable and consistent temperature while providing an almost maintenance-free system.

How Do Forced Air Furnaces from Ulma Work?

Our forced air furnaces work similarly to standard water-based heating boilers. The difference is that these use air, which is heated instead of water. For this to work, the furnace is equipped with a powerful fan that distributes the heated air from the furnace.

The burner is controlled by a built-in thermostat that can be adjusted to the desired room temperature. When the air reaches 60°C, the fan automatically starts and supplies the chosen area with hot air. The fan is controlled by a PT100 sensor that regulates the fan’s speed from 0-100%.

Our forced air furnace is perfect for convenient heating of spaces such as garages and small workshops, as well as other properties and homes. The furnace comes with an Ulma pellet burner of either 20 or 40 kW.

Why Choose a Forced Air Furnace for Pellets?

The advantages of using fuel pellets are many. Quality pellets have a high heat value of up to 5.2 kWh/kg and a low ash content. This leads to a consistent heat level in your property and contributes to minimal maintenance.

According to the government research institute RISE, we could reduce the emission of unburned hydrocarbons by 95% and the emissions of harmful particles by about 85% by replacing old, outdated boilers with new, modern pellet, wood chip, or wood boilers.

Therefore, using our forced air furnaces for pellets offers significant environmental and health benefits. Pellet furnaces also have a high efficiency of 80 to 90 percent.

Where Are Forced Air Furnaces Best Suited?

Ulma’s forced air furnace can be advantageously used in places where there is no access to a water-based heating system. They are also excellent for facilities that operate intermittently and may be left unheated during the winter. Therefore, our forced air furnace is a good alternative to direct electric heating or a heat pump as a heating method.
